ST. ROMAN PARISH SCHOOL 

MISSION STATEMENT

We, at St. Roman Parish School, are a faith-sharing, prayer-connected teaching and learning community centered on the Lord’s commandment to “Love one another as I have loved you.”

v     We all share in the commitment to educate the whole child to the best of his/her God-given talents: spiritually, morally, intellectually, socially, and physically.

v     We foster an environment rich in the Catholic traditions of liturgy, sacraments, and prayer.

v     We, with the help of our faculty and staff, provide our students a values-enriched and standards-based curriculum to prepare them to contribute as Christian citizens in a global environment and to enjoy eternal salvation.

v     We offer opportunities for Christian witness and service to others through in-house and outreach activities.

As members of our parish school community, we aim to inspire others to follow the path of Jesus.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe that St. Roman Parish School exists to assist parents, as primary educators, in the continuing spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, and physical development of their children. Our aim is the formation of Christian citizens and leaders in this world and children of God who will enjoy eternal happiness with the Creator in heaven.

OBJECTIVES

v     We will witness the gospel values of faith, hope, love, peace, and justice through respectful interactions with all of God’s creation.

v     Our entire teaching-learning community will strive to offer an academic program which encourages each student to perform at his/her personal best. We will employ a strong sequential core curriculum that is values-driven and standards-based.

v     We will enhance our core curriculum with support from current technology, foreign language instruction, numerous opportunities for physical development, and multiple fine arts offerings in music and art.

v     We will strive to make Christ present both within and beyond our school community by promoting generous service to others.
