DID YOU KNOW

Last year some questions were asked about the hot lunch program so we thought we would share a few thoughts with you. Our lunch menu appears at the end of this article.

DID YOU KNOW

*That you can buy lunch tickets daily, weekly or as many as you would like.

*That your child’s teacher has extra lunch tickets that they could lend your child in case they forget theirs.

*That each month we celebrate that month’s birthday. If your child has a birthday in that month he/she may dress down and they get a birthday treat at the birthday table in the lunchroom.

*That each grade/classroom is assigned a month and they pick a day and make out the menu for that day.

*That there is bottle water available to buy in the vending machines.

*That we offer four types of milk, 2% white; skim white, chocolate, and strawberry.

*That all of our hot dogs and bologna are all beef.

*That we will be adding whole wheat flour to the buns. One fourth of the flour will be whole wheat.

*That we will be using only reduced fat or fat free dressing and mayonnaise.

*That when we have a meat with breading that counts as a meat/meat alternative and a grain.

*That we do not fry food. All of our cooked food is prepared either on top of the stove or baked.
