Home & School Association-Board Meeting Minutes
10/08/08
In Attendance: Kevin Murack, Jill Kotecki, Tammi Rybacki, Ann Wendt

MINUTES
1st HSA GENERAL MEETING 10/16/08:
-Kevin discussed previous agendas with the current Board. We determined our agenda will be:
Opening Prayer
Intros
Treasurer’s Report
Principal’s Report
Upcoming Events & Fundraisers
-We will also discuss upcoming VIRTUS training signup. We expect possible questions about service hours.
-Mary Murack & Anna Richlen will provide adult supervision for childcare; We will work with 8th grade homeroom teachers for student volunteers. Tammi will work on making sure we have the permission slips for the 8th graders.
-Confirmation of door prizes for the first meeting
-Kevin will confirm with Carol Beecher (School Secretary) about sign in sheets for the meeting
-Tammi will confirm with Pam Quirk about sign up sheets for food for teacher luncheon during PTS conferences in November.
-Note that Webgrader training will be taking place before the general HSA meeting and an 8th grade parent meeting for class trip will take place after the general HSA meeting.
SAC UPDATE:
-next SAC meeting is 10/14/08. Kevin will attend
VOLUNTEER/SERVICE HOURS UPDATE:
-continued discussion about questions for what qualifies for service hours; Kevin will take any questions to SAC
FUNDRAISING/TREASURER UPDATES:
-Some families have still not turned in their candy money; Tammi continues to follow up with them.
-Tammi confirmed that we will continue to work with the current candy rep as he is the only one in the area
FAITH IN OUR FUTURE WEEKEND:
-H&S will have a table at the FIOF activities the weekend of 10/11-12. All HSA Board Members will help staff the table during this time to promote our fundraising activities for the school.
TEACHER CONVENTION BASKETS:
-Jill put together the basket donations for the teacher convention raffles and took care of getting them delivered
SWEETHEART DANCE:
-Jill will be chairing the dance. Discussion of raffle items. We suggest that each class donate a ‘themed’ basket for the raffles.

Follow up on candy payments
Follow up with candy vendor
Follow up on 8th grade volunteer permission slips for H&S meeting childcare volunteers
Follow up with Pam Quirk regarding food sign up sheets for PTS conferences in Nov. They are usually placed out at the H&S meeting
Kevin & Jill (President/Vice President):
Arrange 8th grade volunteers for childcare at HSA meeting
Follow up with Carol Beecher on sign up sheets for HSA meeting
Ann (Secretary):
Check volunteer sign up sheets for Nov. Teacher Luncheon and make sure Pam Quirk has copies of them.
