SCHOOL ADMISSION POLICIES
- In compliance with Wisconsin law: “No child may be admitted to the first grade unless he/she is six years old on or before
September 1 in the year he/she proposes to enter school…”
- Children entering at the K5 level shall be five by September 1. Archdiocesan policy states “children who have reached age requirements are given priority for admittance into kindergarten before consideration is given to underage children.” The following four guidelines will be used as criteria for acceptance of underage K5 children.
- The child’s fifth birthday falls between September 1 st and September 15 th
- The child has some pre-school or four year old kindergarten experience
- A letter is presented from a certified teacher recommending early age admission
- The child has been tested individually by school personnel using of the tests recommended by the Milwaukee Archdiocesan Office of Schools
- The Parish respects the dignity of the child. Neither race, nationality nor other forms of discrimination will prevent a child from being accepted in the Catholic school.
- The following Parish policies will apply:
- Priority registration for currently enrolled students and siblings takes place by February 1. There is a $50.00 registration fee per family. This fee will not be deducted from your tuition bill.
- Open enrollment for School Choice children takes place the 1 st through the 20 th of each month (except July).
- A $50.00 non-refundable registration fee is required for new students.
New students will be tested for placement by a designated teacher who is the supportive consultant during the first month of school, if needed. Prior to the conclusion of the first semester, school personnel will make a determination as to whether or not this school can meet the needs of the student.
